April is turning out to be a creative month for me, and I’m loving it!
I joined a 30 day challenge for the month – the Creative Sprint. You can follow along on social media by looking up the hashtag #CreativeSprint. Below is my piece for the Day 1 prompt. To follow along, follow me on Instagram at susiecarranzastudio. Every day you get an email with the day’s challenge, and I love seeing all the creative ways people interpret the prompt.

i Creative Sprint Challenge, Day 1:
“Start small, make something that fits in the palm of your hand using only the materials in your immediate environment.” I recycled a nearby Post-It note, cut out a heart and drew on it with a felt tip pen.
I was excited to see my photo featured in the photo collage over at Another Limited Rebellion! It was great motivation to keep me going…

I’ve taken over part (um…most!) of the dining room table as my work space. Yesterday’s Creative Sprint challenge was to create something in a box – any box. That sent me into the garage where I found a large storage box full of wood pieces (including boxes!), some beautiful tin nichos from Mexico waiting to be painted and embellished, and several unfinished art pieces I needed to get back to. Yesterday evening I got to work!
Here’s a few shots of what I’m up to right now…
(By the way, you can find miniature flowers and beautiful Mexican milagros in my Etsy supply shop at Susie’s This & That.)
‘Til next time…
