Hi! Remember me? The very inconsistent blogger? Yeah, I know…my last post was back in February…! It’s been very busy around here – lots of home improvement projects (YAY!), some health issues (nothing major), and lots of thought and research … Continue reading
Well, here we are. Christmas Eve Eve. CHRISTMAS?! Every December I find myself saying “This year went by so fast!” Yet this year really did pass at a weirdly fast pace. I’ve mentioned this to a few people and they … Continue reading
Hope you all had a great holiday yesterday! Even if you don’t celebrate the ‘traditional’ Thanksgiving holiday, I hope your day consisted of being with loved ones, lots of laughter – and yummy foods! Just want to share some new … Continue reading
Just added three all NEW pieces to my Etsy art shop! (Finally…!) Three black ink drawings, done with Micron pens on white drawing paper. Each one comes framed in these beautiful wood frames that I handpainted to go with each piece. … Continue reading
I LOVE wearing and making memory wire bracelets – just wrap around your wrist and go! I love how they spring back to their coiled shape when you take them off. This week I added some new beaded bracelets to … Continue reading
Happy Friday! I’ve been getting back to creating again – finally! Finding time to do what my heart and soul NEED to do is just what the doctor ordered. And I do mean that literally. My doctor said it was … Continue reading
Just wanted to share today’s sketchbook journal page. This started with some late night scribbling and doodles last night, and I finished it today while listening to the pouring rain. (LOVE the sound of rain!)
I’ve added a couple new items to my Etsy shop!
I LOVE painting these beautiful tin nichos from Mexico. I painted this chapel nicho in bright colors – red, turquoise, green, and more – and on the inside I used the “El Corazon” card from a Loteria game (like Mexican bingo) on a bed of gold glitter (also from Mexico). To see more photos go to my Etsy shop (link above)!
This small wood angel ornament measures just under four inches tall and comes ready to hang with a twine loop. I drew bold whimsical flowers on a white background, making them pop by using purple, turquoise, orange, yellow, and green.
I have lots more projects in progress – I’ll be sharing soon!
‘Til next time…
Life’s finally settling down a bit around here…my mother in law is currently in a nursing home receiving the necessary help in recovering from her broken hip and the problems that resulted from it (including a heart attack). Lawrence went back to work on Monday and I opened up my Etsy shops again…
…and I decided to have a sale! In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m holding a week long 14% off sale in my Etsy art shop. Use coupon code “amor14” at checkout on ANYTHING in my shop!
’til next time…
I’ve been busy stitching up some new heart ornaments for both my Etsy shop and our website. 100% handmade, I used recycled fabrics and beautiful sheer ribbons, and embellishments like felt, mini crocheted flowers (made by my friend Annette), buttons, stamps, charms, vintage lace, and beads…
Hope you like them! Each is one-of-a-kind, and only $12 each, perfect for your special Valentine, bff, siblings, your child’s teacher – anyone!
’til next time…
A few days into 2015 and I find myself hit with a nasty cold…so while I sit here sniffling, sneezing, coughing, and rubbing my watery eyes, I thought I’d share a few photos of what’s been going on around here…
